Nelson Mandela was a great leader of the world and was born on July 18, 1918. Godla Hanry was the father of Mandela and his mother’s name was Nosekeni. His father died when he was 12 years child. he was born in Mvezo village( South Africa). His early name was Rolihlahla his Joined family sported him and helped them to study When he went to school teacher changed Rolihlahla’s name and suggested a new name Nelson He graduated from Healdtown College which was especially for black people.

It says that Mandela was born into the Thembu royal family in Mvezo, Union of South Africa. then because of some incident, his father was impoverished by the Government. He studied law at the University of Fort Hare and the University of Witwatersrand then started working as a lawyer in Johannesburg. Then he joined the ANC in 1943 and founded its Youth League in 1944.

He was repeatedly arrested for seditionary activities and then prosecuted in the 1956 Treason Trial. He secretly joins the Marxist bandit of the South African Communist Party. in the start he was initially committed to non-violent protest, then with the SACP, he founded the militant uMkhonto we Sizwe . and was involved in the destabilizing campaign against the government. He was imprisoned in 1962, and, was sentenced to life imprisonment for conspiring with the state.

Mandela served 27 years in prison, at Robben Island, Pollsmoor Prison, and Victor Verster Prison. last growing international pressure and fears of racial civil war, F. W. de Klerk who was president at that time released him in 1990. Mandela and de Klerk led efforts to negotiate an end to a difference of racism, and elections have been held in which Mandela led the ANC to victory and became president. human rights Economic his own socialist beliefs, also introducing measures to encourage land reform, combat poverty and expand healthcare services.

Mandela’s administration inherited a country where just under half of the population lived below the poverty line between white and black people with a huge disparity in wealth and services. the population of 40 million, almost 23 million lacked electricity or adequate sanitation, and 12 million lacked clean water supplies, with 2 million children not in school and a third of the population illiterate. almost 33% of people were unemployed, and half part of the population was very poor so they had no basic needs. Government financial reserves nearly desisted. a fifth of the national budget was spent on loan repayment, which means the extent of the Reconstruction and Development Programme (RDP) was scaled back, with none of the proposed job creation. In 1996, the RDP was made with a new policy, Growth, Employment, and Redistribution. which maintained South Africa’s economy and placed economic growth through a framework of market economics and the encouragement of foreign investment.
